All applicable warranty and return timelines begin on the original delivery date.

DELIVERY INSPECTION
Transit Damage & Missing Items

Inspect the engine or transmission as soon as it is delivered.

Report Within 48 Hours
Shipping damage or missing items must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

Document With Photos
Take clear photos showing the condition of the shipment and any visible freight damage.

Note It With the Carrier
Visible transit damage should be noted with the shipping carrier upon receipt.

ORDER CANCELLATIONS
Cancellation & Refused Shipment Terms
WITHIN 24 HOURS
No Cancellation Charge
Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase without a cancellation charge.
AFTER 24 HOURS
20% Restocking Fee
Cancellations made after 24 hours may be subject to a 20% restocking fee plus applicable two-way shipping charges.
REFUSED SHIPMENT
Shipping Charges Apply
Refused shipments are subject to the applicable 20% restocking fee and two-way shipping costs.

An incorrect item shipped by Thrifty Engines may qualify for an authorized return.

Warranty-Approved Mechanical Failure
A valid mechanical failure approved under the applicable warranty process may qualify for return or other approved resolution.

Item Reported Damaged
Items reported damaged within the applicable 7-day return period may qualify, subject to the separate 48-hour transit-damage reporting requirement when shipping damage is involved.

Accurate Vehicle Information Is Important
Errors in vehicle or VIN information provided by the customer are the customer’s responsibility.
If corrected replacement parts are required because incorrect vehicle information was supplied, additional shipping charges and applicable price differences may apply.

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days after approval.
Shipping & Handling
Shipping, handling, and processing fees are non-refundable unless the return is the result of a Thrifty Engines error.

No Core Deposit Required

There is no core-deposit charge requiring you to return your old engine or transmission as part of this policy.

Mechanical Performance vs. Appearance
The policy applies to mechanical performance. Used automotive components may have cosmetic wear or appearance characteristics consistent with prior use.

Cosmetic concerns must be reported within 7 calendar days of delivery.
REFUSED DELIVERY
Appearance-Based Refusal
Refusing delivery based on appearance may result in a 20% restocking fee plus applicable two-way shipping charges.
