OUR WARRANTY COMMITMENT

Limited Warranty Protection for Eligible Units

Thrifty Engines provides limited warranty coverage on eligible pre-owned engines and transmissions. Coverage applies only to verified mechanical or functional failure of covered internal components occurring under normal operating conditions, proper installation, and full compliance with the applicable warranty terms.

No other warranties, express or implied, are provided unless required by applicable law.

Warranty eligibility depends on the covered component, proper installation, required maintenance, timely reporting, and supporting documentation.

Items Not Covered

Sensors, wiring, water pumps, thermostats, belts, hoses, gaskets, seals, manifolds, electrical components, and other external items supplied with the unit are not covered under warranty. Failure of these items does not constitute a warranty claim.

PRODUCT CONDITION

Mechanical Performance vs. Appearance

Thrifty Engines warrants mechanical performance only. Used components may show normal wear, surface rust, or cosmetic imperfections consistent with age and prior use.

Appearance alone is not grounds for return or dispute. Any appearance concerns must be reported within 7 calendar days of delivery.

DELIVERY INSPECTION

Shipping & Inspection Requirements

Inspect Immediately

Inspect the engine or transmission when it is delivered.

Report Within 48 Hours

Shipping damage or missing items must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

Take Supporting Photos

Photograph any visible shipping damage or missing-item concern.

Note Damage With the Carrier

Visible freight damage must be noted with the shipping carrier upon receipt.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

Installation & Maintenance

To maintain warranty eligibility, all work must be performed by a licensed repair facility or ASE-certified mechanic.

15 DAYS Installation Deadline

Installation must be completed within 15 calendar days of delivery.

REQUIRED Mandatory Replacements

A new water pump, thermostat, and timing belt or timing chain must be installed.

KEEP RECORDS Commercial Documentation

Commercial service receipts and installation invoices must be retained. Failure to provide required documentation will result in claim denial.

ODOMETER Mileage Documentation

The vehicle odometer mileage must be recorded on the installation invoice at the time of installation.

IF A FAILURE OCCURS

Warranty Claim Procedure

01 Contact Thrifty Engines

Contact our support team immediately after a suspected failure.

02 Stop Operating the Vehicle

Cease operation of the vehicle after the failure occurs.

03 Do Not Dismantle the Unit

Do not dismantle, modify, or authorize repairs before claim review.

04 Submit Required Documentation

Submit the claim through the applicable warranty process within 10 business days.

APPROVED CLAIMS

Warranty Resolution

For an approved warranty claim, Thrifty Engines may, at its sole discretion, provide one of the following remedies:

OPTION 1

Replacement Product

Replace the product with a comparable used engine or transmission.

OPTION 2

Purchase Price Refund

Issue a refund for the original purchase price when that remedy is approved.

OPPORTUNITY TO RESOLVE CLAIMS

Allow One Reasonable Opportunity to Resolve the Issue

The customer agrees to provide Thrifty Engines one reasonable opportunity to inspect, diagnose, repair, replace, or otherwise resolve any verified warranty claim or product-related issue.

If Thrifty Engines approves and offers a replacement product as the warranty remedy, and the customer refuses delivery, declines the replacement, fails to cooperate with the replacement process, or demands a refund instead of accepting the approved remedy, that action will be treated as a voluntary cancellation of the order by the customer.

Possible Charges

Applicable cancellation charges, restocking fees of up to 20%, and shipping, return-shipping, or handling costs may apply in these cases.

WARRANTY VOID CONDITIONS

Conditions That Void Coverage

Failure to report visible issues within 7 days.

Installation after 15 days from delivery.

Unauthorized repairs, modifications, or disassembly.

Overheating, oil starvation, racing, off-road use, or lack of maintenance.

Missing or tampered heat tabs.

RETURNS & CANCELLATIONS

Order Cancellation Conditions

Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase.

AFTER 24 HOURS

Restocking & Shipping Charges

Cancellations after 24 hours or refused shipments are subject to a 20% restocking fee plus applicable two-way shipping charges.

NON-REFUNDABLE

Deposits

Inventory hold, special order, and custom procurement deposits are non-refundable.

NON-TRANSFERABILITY

Coverage Stays With the Original Purchase

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and the original vehicle listed on the invoice. It is non-transferable.
